Our mission

Leesburg Food Bank is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation, staffed entirely by unpaid volunteers, that exists to alleviate hunger by obtaining and distributing food and other essentials in the City of Leesburg and adjacent communities. No fees or costs are ever charged to the neighbors we serve.

We are committed to excellence in service, products, and operation. We treat every neighbor with respect, dignity, and courtesy; we use our resources wisely; and we are honest, fair, and accountable in our dealings with donors and the community.

The need is real

There is a growing number of people in our community who are food insecure — meaning they don't know where their next meal is coming from, including children. We know seniors who must choose between food or medicine, and families with children whose main daily meal is the school lunch program. We don't believe that's acceptable, and every dollar contributed is put directly toward closing that gap.
