At the Leesburg Food Bank, we believe that no one in our community should go hungry. As a volunteer-managed and -operated 501(c)(3) organization, we are the engine that keeps our neighbors fed.

🔴 We currently need 3 volunteers to join the Monday Morning Team
Help us with shopping-basket assembly.
- Where: Mondays, 7:30 AM – Noon
- Activity level: Moderate — involves 15–20 steps while carrying 5–50 lbs
What you might do
- Sorting & rotating: sort donations from individuals and community drives, and rotate inventory to ensure zero food waste
- Basket assembly: create shopping baskets tailored to the specific size and dietary needs of each family
- Neighbor interviews: sit down with families to understand their specific needs and preferences, ensuring they receive the help that serves them best
Physical requirements
Roles range from stationary tasks to active movement:
- Stationary: seated or standing roles (interviewing, some sorting)
- Light activity: involves 20–30 steps of movement carrying light weight
- Heavy activity: some roles involve lifting 10 to 50 pounds (team efforts are encouraged)

The Leesburg Food Bank is not a "fixer-upper" situation. We are a stable, debt-free organization with a 10,000-square-foot distribution center, a fleet of vehicles, and over 200 local supporters. We are looking for board members to help maintain course and strategically plan for the future.
Board of Directors
We are looking to strengthen our board with individuals who possess specific professional expertise to ensure the long-term health of the charity. We are seeking experience in:
- Finance
- Law
- Nonprofit administration
- Volunteer management
